You Ask - I Answer

How long does an assessment take?

An assessment takes place in as few as three parts.  There is an initial intake, during which an in person meeting takes place to complete a clinical interview and collect background information.  The second part of the assessment consists of individual meetings with the individual to be assessed.  This usually takes about two (2) four (4) hour sessions, and is flexible depending on the individual and the assessment.  Finally, a review session takes place at which the results of the assessment are reviewed.  A report is sent following that review session,

What is a consultation?

The concept of educational support is complex.  Supports can include IEPs, PPTs, 504 Plans and other forms and levels of service.  A consultation is a time for us to meet and discuss your child's individual educational progress, current supports, concerns and to discuss next steps to help your child receive appropriate services.  I will review records, including current plans and past assessments to better understand the current context in which this discussion takes place.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Sliding scale rates are available as it is our belief that everyone deserves a better understanding of themselves and all children deserve an appropriate education.
